Happy 232nd Birthday Marines!

Today on November 10th, Marines around the globe will celebrate, or have celebrated the birth of our beloved Corps.

On 14 February 1991, I graduated from Platoon 1017, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. What a beautiful and great day that was! I had become...a Marine.

Each year it is a celebrated and honored tradition, to recognize the birth of our beloved Corps.

I am proud to have served my country, proud to be an American and proud to be called a United States Marine.

To my fellow brother and sister Marines around the globe, God bless you all, Happy 232nd Birthday and Semper fi. OOOHRAH!

This is a terrific tribute to the esteemed U.S. Marine Corps.

I would, hoewever, like to point out the following:
(1) On November 10th,1971.....Wylie Coyote died for the 3,718th time trying to catch the erstwhile and swift Roadrunner.

(2) On November 10th, 1952.....Bill Buckner was born; this is very significant as if he was not....The Mets would never have won the 1986 World Series and,

(3) On November 10th, 250 B.C....Ptolemy the IV fell off the large pyramid at Cheops and died.....heralding in the Golden Age of Queen Nefertiti....largely viewed in military circles as the Mother of the Marine Corps due to her perisitent love of battle.

All the best,

Cousin Jim.
